The single Candyman reached Billboard Hot 100 position 25 at its peaks and is currently at position 27. Candyman was released on the 5th of February and the Candyman music video was premiered on MTV on 22nd February.

The lyrics of Christina Aguilera’s Candyman from Christina Aguilera’s third album “Back To Basics” is based on the theme of the 1941 Andrews Sisters’ hit “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy” song.

According to Linda Perry, the Candyman lyrics was the first written song at the time of the creation of Christina Aguilera’s Back to Basics album.
